Top airports for ultramodern architecture and user-friendly terminals






Following evaluations and an analysis of user comments on the various airports across the world, the UK-based consulting firm Skytrax unveiled a ranking of the greatest airports in the world on Wednesday in Frankfurt.

After 2022, Qatar's Hamad International Airport will once again take first place.

CNN claims that the airport is the best because of its opulent architecture, user-friendly terminals, and upscale retail.

The CEO of Qatar Airways Group stated in a statement: "This year, [Hamad International Airport] celebrates its milestone tenth year of operations and we are truly honoured that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time."


Changi Airport in Singapore was the best in 2023 and 2020, while Doha's (DOH) was the best in 2022 and 2021.


For visitors staying a long time, the airport provides complimentary city tours. It is also one location that offers swimming pools and spa amenities within its Oryx Airport Hotel.

Most airports are located in Europe.

Nine of the twenty airports are located in European cities like Istanbul, Vienna, and Madrid.


Two of the seven Asian airports in the top 20 were located in Tokyo, Japan.


Vancouver International Airport (YVR) was ranked as the best airport in North America out of 570 airports assessed globally by Skytrax.


In the Australia-Pacific area, Melbourne Airport (MEL) held a prominent position, while Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi was recognised in India.


Panama Tocumen Airport (PTY) won the title of finest for Latin America and the Caribbean, while El Dorado International Airport (BOG) was named the best in South America.
